Amber has had an abstract accepted for ASRM this fall – a Bayesian network for complex pain-related features of endometriosis

I will be part of a workshop presenting:  Lecture Hall, Poll Everywhere, and Twitter – oh my! Engaging Large Audiences using Interactive Tools at the Utah Academy of Health Science Educators Symposium

Nicole and I will be presenting this abstract in the fall at the APHL NBS Symposium: Understanding Clinician needs and preferences with respect to returned NBS results.

I took 3 students to the International Partnership in Health Informatics Education (IPHIE) https://www.iphie.org/  meeting in Seattle in June where they worked on app design projects with students from 6 international sites.

Our NLM trainees and I attended the training conference in Buffalo in June where they got to interact with the larger cohort of informatics trainees.

Grants

We were awarded a 5-year renewal to our T15 training grant.

Education

After four years with the Medical school, I resigned as co-director of Host and Defense. Matt Williams will take back the role.
